Sophistication, creativity and color, words that pop into my mind when i think of the pop art exhibit that was launched yesterday.
The exhibit included many young artists of Saudi Arabia. the theme was Pop art, the results were great not only because of the enthusiasm of many of the participating artists who were present at the event, but also because of the great attention to detail that took place by Al Faisaliah hotel -who is organizing the event- .
Hosted by the Globe restaurant as we mentioned earlier. Many of artofdining.net members were at the opening ceremony. 'Spectacular', 'Amazing', 'Great' where some of the words our members used to describe the event. One of our members, an artist and a visual designer said it deserves and 8 out of 10. 'The interpretation of generic pop art and a more refined Arab influenced pieces were highlighted and truly inspiring, showing that the new generations of the country's artists are truly notable' were the words of another member of artofdining.net
A perfect score seems to be hard to attain when it comes to exhibits.Different guests have different priorities. For our members, that rise to perfection for 'pop goes riyadh' ranged from: a dinner to be included with the opening ceremony, others were more interested in the artists themselves, and had trouble figuring out which ones were the artists, and some hoped for multimedia art to be included.
The pop exhibit will run through the 27th of the month. Will be open from :
